My first blog post is dedicated to this makeup that I'm currently wearing. This is my version of Demi Lovato's cover art for her latest album, Unbroken. I like how it turned out a lot-- except for the lips, but I'll talk about that later. I can't do anything neutral, so the eyes are a little more dramatic than what she had in the picture, but I think it works. Her face is very pale and flawless in the picture. She has very, very slight conturing. I did my face makeup with my Dinair airbrushing compressor. I mixed my color and then did a coat of the lightest color over it. I did a little conturing with elf's Golden Bronzer.
For the eyes, I used my Coastal Scents 88 palette. I did a color that is a few shades lighter than my natural skin tone as my lid color. In the crease, I used Naked by Urban Decay, and two different shades of brown. I used a lighter color over the Naked, and with a pencil brush, I put the darkest brown directly in the crease. I blended it all together with a fluffy brush, and applied thicker eyeliner. I used the elf black Cream Eyeliner and Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Zero. I put on false eyelashes. I believe they are ModLash 21's, but I can't remember the brand. In the tear duct, I put a little bit of a white shimmery color. Under the eye, I smudged the Urban Decay eyeliner with some dark brown eye shadow.
For the lips, I mixed the color myself. I'm not too happy with how it turned out, but the purple color I used was the CoverGirl BlastFlipStick lip duo in Flashy. It's a really gorgeous color and these are a new product, so I had to try them out.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I think next time, I need to find a better lip shade, but this was completely spontaneous. I hope you enjoyed!
Itchy fake eyelashes and feathering purple lipstick,
